Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role located in Accra for a Senior C# Developer. The Senior C# Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems. The day-to-day tasks include coding, debugging, and implementing applications, performing code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring software meets performance, quality standards, and security protocols. The role also involves mentoring junior developers and contributing to the technical architecture and design decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Design & Develop APIs: Architect, implement, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Database Expertise: Design, optimize, and manage SQL Server and other databases, including performance tuning, query optimization, and data integrity.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction within Scrum teams, collaborating closely with Product Owners, Frontend Developers, QA, and DevOps to drive delivery.
- Testing & Code Quality: Write robust unit and integration tests, perform peer code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and optimize application and database performance to meet business-critical requirements.
- CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Lead the integration and improvement of build pipelines, deployment automation, and CI/CD practices.
- Documentation & Standards: Produce clear and comprehensive documentation, and contribute to establishing coding guidelines and system design standards.
- Mentorship & Growth: Mentor junior developers, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and stay updated on emerging technologies to bring innovation into the team.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in C# (.NET Framework and .NET Core)
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC / Web API for building web applications and APIs
- Knowledge of Entity Framework or similar ORM tools
- Proficiency in SQL Server (database design, queries, stored procedures)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with third-party APIs
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or equivalent (Git, CI/CD pipelines)
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
- Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies
