GIU International Christian Academy (GICA) is a Christ-centered international school in Tema (Golf-City area), Ghana. We are committed to academic excellence and spiritual formation, equipping students to lead and serve with integrity. We utilize the Cambridge International Education curriculum from primary through A-Levels, blending rigorous academics with Biblical values.
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated IGCSE & A-Level Geography Teacher. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the natural and human environment, understand global issues, and develop critical thinking skills, while preparing them for success in Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Geography examinations through the lens of a Christian worldview.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Geography aligned with the Cambridge International curriculum for IGCSE and A-Level.
- Integrate Biblical principles into teaching, fostering both academic and spiritual growth.
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials that promote inquiry-based learning and geographical investigation.
- Encourage students to analyze human-environment interactions, global issues, and spatial patterns.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular projects and contribute to the broader school community.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and development.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, specializing in Geography, or related field (Bachelor’s required).
- Teaching certification or qualification recognized internationally.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and/or A-Level Geography within the Cambridge International curriculum.
- Strong subject knowledge in both physical and human geography, as well as fieldwork methodology.
- Committed Christian with a passion for integrating faith and learning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire students to engage with and appreciate global and local geographical issues.
