Digital Learning Officer - EduSpots Ghana

About this role 

Community ownership and local leadership have always been at the heart of EduSpots’ approach, and that extends to how we learn and operate online. EduSpots currently runs two distinct digital learning offers, and this new role has been designed to support both.

EduBytes is our professional development programme for Catalysts, covering everything from digital skills training to safeguarding. Our online courses are a newer paid offer, free for Catalysts and now opening up to schools, charities and partners. As EduSpots grows, we are looking for a Digital Learning Officer to work across both programmes, providing administrative support and increasing EduSpots’ capacity to reach a wider audience.

This is an administrative role, and no developer or coding experience is needed. Working alongside the managers who lead each programme, you will be the organised, dependable support behind both, from registration and troubleshooting through to certification. Across both, you will help us see where we are reaching people and where we are not, contributing to the data analysis and reporting that shapes what we do next. As this is a new position and therefore a degree of flexibility will be required.

As we grow from 50 to 100 Spots in 2026, more Catalysts will be joining the network, and their first experience of EduBytes matters. As our online courses reach new audiences, a smooth, well-supported experience will matter just as much. You will work closely with Catalysts and a collaborative team, with real opportunities to learn and develop as our digital work evolves. This is both an internal and external-facing role, so you will need great people skills, strong prioritisation skills and the ability to communicate clearly.

We are looking for someone who is organised, digitally confident and patient, with a keen eye for detail and a genuine desire to help more people take part. You will enjoy understanding how communities use technology in practice, explaining steps clearly to people with different levels of digital confidence, and helping more people find their place in a community-led network.

Reports to: Digital Learning and Innovation Manager, Educational Partnerships Manager 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

EduSpots Online courses 

• Supporting learner registration and trouble-shooting on website access, escalating technical issues where needed

• Tracking participation and completion, and supporting the certification process

• Approving comments and engagement in line with our safeguarding policy, escalating any safeguarding concerns to our safeguarding lead.

• Supporting data analysis and report writing.

• Supporting our Education Partnerships Manager responding to enquiries from schools, charities and partners interested in our online courses.

EduSpots’ EduBytes Short Courses 

• Supporting Catalyst engagement strategies, such as course content reminders, celebrating progress, and encouraging continued engagement.

• Supporting with registrations, survey completion and Catalyst trouble-shooting

• Supporting with task review and feedback

• Leading on the certification process for EduBytes, keeping completion records accurate and certificates issued on time.

• Hosting EduBytes weekly session, including preparation and follow up

General

• Supporting internal data analysis and reporting across both programmes, including user numbers and completion rates, to show where we are reaching people and where we are not, and contributing to quarterly reports to the Board of Trustees

• Keeping learner and Catalyst records accurate and secure, in line with data protection and safeguarding policies

• Helping to build an active, welcoming online community for Catalysts and learners, encouraging participation and connection across the network, e.g. across various EduSpots WhatsApp networks.

• Supporting EduSpots’ online presence, for example by sharing course updates and news across our channels

• Contributing to all-staff and team meetings, sharing updates and insights from both programmes and feeding into planning

• Being flexible as this new role develops, and undertaking other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the role

Personal Specification 

Essential

• Digitally confident – comfortable using online platforms and able to learn new systems quickly

• Proactive and solution-focused – able to identify problems, troubleshoot where possible and seek support where needed

• A clear communicator, able to engage warmly and effectively with Catalysts, learners, partners and colleagues.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly with records, data and certification

• Confident using spreadsheets or similar tools to track participation and summarise data. Experience using Google Sheets required.

• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing requests across two programmes

• Able to work independently and meet deadlines as part of a remote team

• Understanding of, and commitment to, safeguarding children.

Salary: 1500-3500 Cedis / month gross
