The Chancellor’s Academy is seeking a caring, patient, energetic and experienced One-to-One Child Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to a very active young child.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Provide dedicated one-to-one supervision throughout the school day
-
Support potty/toilet training and personal care
-
Help improve attention and concentration during activities
-
Provide individual learning support and reinforce classroom learning
-
Support the development of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
-
Use positive strategies to manage high levels of activity and encourage appropriate behaviour
-
Support the child with listening, following instructions, turn-taking and completing activities
-
Ensure the child's safety and wellbeing at all times
-
Follow the school's safeguarding and child protection procedures

Work closely with the class teacher and school management

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Applicants should preferably have:
-
A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, Teaching Assistance or equivalent
-
Previous experience working with young children
-
Experience supporting a highly active child or a child who needs additional help with concentration
-
Good understanding of child development
-
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
