Job Responsibilities
Data Management
- Development, maintenance and monitoring of Enterprise Data warehouse (EDW)
- Find, organise, clean, extract, store, process and manage data from a variety of data sources (ETL processing)
- Develop data processes for mining, production and data modelling
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
- Conduct monthly solution reviews with Business partners and Technology to ensure quality of service delivery remains within tolerance
- Responsible for monitoring data system performance metrics
- Investigate suitable self-service management information platforms and support the implementation
Data Governance
- Ensure adherence to data governance methodologies and processes including access control, documentation, and other related tasks
- Maintains a repository of Master copies of all system documentation, management methods and standards
- Ensure effective management of Data Dictionaries and other system documentation

Reporting
- Management of Enterprise data reporting solutions such as Business Objects (BO), Vision BI & Power BI
- Creation or development and automation of Business data reporting
- Understand the time value of data and ensure availability is at agreed levels
- Implement a system-enabled reporting calendar aimed at streamlining data flow from the source system to report
- Enforce the Service Level Agreement that governs the source system to warehouse activity
- Consistently review data feeds into metrics to ensure integrity
Candidate Profile
- Proficient in SQL Server
- Proficiency in Python, C#, and object-oriented design skills
- A good understanding of Software architectures and design patterns
- Proficiency in developing front-end applications using modern Web development tools (HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS)
- Proficiency in integrating various API technologies (REST, OData, etc.)
- Knowledge of Business Object (BO) and enterprise BI tools
- Knowledge of various ETL Data Warehouse Design, Set Up and Maintenance
- Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
- Experience with NoSQL databases an advantage
- Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Ability to employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g., scripting languages) to integrate systems
- Experience in R and Python for integration with data science solutions an advantage
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure DataBricks, Google BigQuery or other data and query cloud tools a benefit
- At least 3 years of work experience in a financial service, technology, or other fast-paced environment in a relevant or similar industry
- A minimum of a first degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a relevant discipline
