We are seeking a proactive IT professional to manage and evolve our digital ecosystem.
The Position: Strategic Overview
The Information Technology Officer is a critical role responsible for the stability, security, and advancement of the university’s digital infrastructure. Beyond traditional troubleshooting, this role involves managing the high-level systems that power the student experience—from initial admission to graduation. The successful candidate will oversee our Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), and Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime and seamless data integration across departments.
Core Responsibilities & Functions
1. Systems Administration & Digital Platforms
- Student Information System (SIS): Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the SIS, including student records, admissions automation, grading modules, and financial reconciliation.
- Learning Management System (LMS): Administer the university’s LMS (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, or Google Classroom), ensuring course materials are accessible, and faculty/students are adequately supported.
- Cloud Platform Management: Oversee the administration of cloud services (Google Workspace, Supabase, or AWS) and maintain the university’s website and hosting environments.

2. Infrastructure & Hardware Management
- Maintain and audit all physical IT equipment, including server rooms, computer labs, and office workstations.
- Manage the "One Student, One Laptop" inventory and provide technical support/maintenance for student and faculty devices.
- Ensure robust campus-wide internet connectivity and network security (firewalls, VPNs, and access points).
3. Data Security & Support
- Implement rigorous data backup protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide timely technical support (Helpdesk) to staff and students regarding software, hardware, and account access.
- Conduct regular training sessions for faculty on utilizing educational technology and AI-assisted tools.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in system administration, ideally within a Higher Education setting.
- Technical Proficiency: * Strong command of SQL and database management.
- Experience managing enterprise-level SIS and LMS platforms.
- Proficiency in cloud environment administration (Google Cloud/Firebase/Supabase).
- Hardware: Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair PC/Laptop hardware and network infrastructure.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with Digital Transformation projects (e.g., migrating legacy data to new cloud systems).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices within an academic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
