Job Summary
A Hotel’s Housekeeping Rooms Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping staff to ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Staff Supervision and Scheduling: Oversee, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities and shifts of room attendants and other housekeeping staff.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure established cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards are consistently met.
- Training and Development: Train new housekeepers on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, room amenities, and equipment. Coordinate orders and ensure supply rooms are stocked and organized.
- Guest Services: Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, complaints, and special needs, ensuring issues are resolved and guests are satisfied.
- Maintenance Coordination: Identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards in rooms and public areas, coordinating with the maintenance/engineering department for timely repairs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance requests, and lost and found items. Use property management systems (PMS) and basic computer applications for documentation and communication.
- Safety and Compliance:Enforce hotel safety regulations, sanitation policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for both guests and employees.

TALENT PROFILE
Experience:
- • Experience in a similar capacity with a minimum of 2-5 years.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong leadership, team management, and motivational abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, products, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and relevant housekeeping management software.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self–motivated and continuously strive to better his/ her skills and increase his/ her knowledge.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Physical Demands: The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand/walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift/move items
- Availability:Must have flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the hotel's operational needs.
- Focused on providing consistently high standards of customer service.
Education or Qualification:
- Degree/ HND in Hospitality Management or other related courses.
