Meridian Seeds invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Sales Officer
Responsibilities
Shop Management
- Shall ensure that the shop is properly stock at all times.
- Shall keep stock records of all seeds allocated to the shop.
- Shall ensure that the seeds are kept in safe conditions that does not negatively affect seed viability.
- Shall keep the shop clean & ensure that products are properly arranged and presented.
- Shall ensure that all business assets in the shop are secured and in good working condition at all
- times. These shall include air-conditions, computers, furniture, fitting, and fixtures etc.
- Shall be responsible for management of petty cash assigned to the shop.
- Shall represent Meridian Seeds in all meetings organized at the shop complex and report to
- management.

Sales and Marketing Responsibilities
- Shall prospect for customers via farmer meetings, fairs, social meeting (e.g. WhatsApp groups,
- Facebook, company e-commerce website, emails and text messages, demonstrations etc.
- Shall prepare sales projections and shop supply schedules.
- Shall superintend on the company’s sales activities in Accra.
- Shall ensure cash/momo sales revenues are securely kept and deposited at the bank.
- Shall ensure that all seed sales can be traced to invoices, receipts, and sales record books.
- Shall establish and manage relationship with customers and stakeholders (NGO’s etc.).
- Shall keep records i.e. contacts, emails of customers for after sales support and future promotions.
Other technical responsibilities
- Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review.
- Shall periodically conduct germination test to ensure that seeds are suitable for sales.
- Shall record and investigate customer complaints and report to management.
- Shall submit monthly reports to the Operations Manager.
Required Skills or Experience
- Agric College or Certificate in Marketing or equivalent qualifications.
- A little experience in Agriculture is an added advantage.
- Should be IT literate.
- Good customer service skills.
- Motivated, driven attitude (Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven attitude).
- Ability to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
