Job Description
Asanko Gold Ghana Ltd is seeking to employ a well-motivated and experienced Electrical Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will contribute to the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems to support smooth operational performance while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Job Purpose
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components and the need for adjustment or repair and ensure compliance with codes.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems.
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels.
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
- Prevent equipment failures by routinely inspecting, cleaning and checking terminations of circuits.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
- Executes daily routine work according to Policies and procedures within prescribed guidelines.
- Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor in accordance with Asanko policies.

Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or NVTI Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Between 3-5 years of experience in an industrial/mining environment.
- Valid Ghana Energy Commission License (EL1/EL2) is mandatory.
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining electrical equipment.
- Understanding of PLC, VSDs, and electrical control systems.
- Compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
