The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory body established by the NRA Act, 2015 (Act 895) and began operations in January 2016. The NRA has a statutory responsibility for regulating civilian use of nuclear and other radioactive materials and is preparing itself to regulate Ghana’s nuclear power programme.
Job Description
The NRA is seeking to recruit to fill various positions in its organisational structure. The NRA hereby invites qualified Ghanaians to apply for any of the positions listed below.
A Licensing Project Manager for a nuclear regulatory body manages the licensing review process for the Authority in ensuring that licensee submittals meet the regulatory requirements; serving as the interface between the licensee and Authority and manage the process involved in providing licenses for nuclear facilities.
Key required tasks are:
- Provide all project management services required for the licensing process including development and execution of licensing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and work with multidisciplinary teams and also monitor progress and resolve any outstanding issues affecting licensing review project delivery.
- Serve as interface between licensee and Authority and serves as the liaison with all other regulatory bodies/agencies and other project stakeholders.

Required Skills or Experience
Minimum Education
- Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering or any related science-related field with certification in project management.
Certifications & Knowledge
- Good understanding of nuclear regulations, licensing processes, and project management principles. Experience with software such as: MS Project or Primavera will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in regulatory body licensing with project management experience. Nuclear knowledge would be an advantage.
