Rock City Hotel is in search of a diligent and customer-focused Pool Attendant to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests in the pool area. The Pool Attendant will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and secure pool environment, enforcing safety regulations, and responding to guest needs.
- Possesses lifeguard certification and extensive knowledge of water safety protocols.
- Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies.
- Conduct routine checks on pool equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the pool area, including regular testing and balancing of pool chemicals.
- Demonstrate proficiency in first aid and CPR, providing immediate assistance in case of injuries or emergencies.
- Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- Provide friendly and proactive assistance to guests in the pool area.
- Address guest inquiries and ensure a positive experience.

- Previous experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant is preferred.
- Strong swimming skills and comfort in performing water rescues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey pool rules and safety regulations to guests effectively.
- Maintain a high level of responsibility and vigilance in ensuring guest safety.
- Conduct regular patrols around the pool area to identify and address potential risks.
- Exhibit a customer-focused mindset, ensuring guests have an enjoyable and safe pool experience.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest needs and inquiries.
- Collaborate with other pool attendants and hotel staff to maintain a harmonious and efficient pool operation.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
- Take a proactive approach to prevent accidents and ensure a smooth pool operation.
- Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues promptly.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the hotel management.
Required Skills or Experience
- Lifeguard certification.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality setting.
- Strong swimming skills and comfort in performing water rescues.
