A reputable Financial institution based in Tema invites applications from suitable and qualified Ghanaians to fill the following vacant position of IT Officer
Role Purpose
The job holder will be required to maintain, upgrade and manage the organisation’s software, hardware and networks to ensure that the institution’s IT system is secured and functional at all times
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware operating systems and applications
- Maintain and upgrade the union’s software, hardware and networks
- Manage servers and technology tools
- Diagnose and resolve IT problems
- Support the roll-out of new applications
- Respond rapidly yo branch call-outs on IT issues
- Conduct annual computer audit for the union

Qualification Required & Experience
- BSc / BA in Information Technology, Computer Science with 5 years of working experience with a financial institution. Professional certification (e.g Microsoft Certified systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus
Competencies
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience in databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g intrusion detection systems) and data backup and recovery
- CCTVs management and collect backups
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
