Accounts Officers

Job Description

  • Prepares daily and monthly credit sales report with ageing analysis
  • Updates all accounts receivable ledgers of customers/ clients
  • Obtain and mails invoice copies for customers, reconciled customers account as requested
  • Filing returns of VAT, PAYE, SSNIT, and CIT
  • Payroll administration
  • Handles and processes customer claims of invoices for payment
  • Answer accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments delayed payments or other irregularities and provide needed support for collection
  • Establish credit limitations on customers account

  • Prepare collection reports to ascertain the status of collections and balances outstanding to evaluate the effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures
  • Provide report to Senior Accountant on suggested credit limits and guidance on payment terms for new and/or troubled accounts
  • Reconcile entire Customers (debtors’) ledger monthly

 

Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND with a considerable period of experience.
  • Strong ICT background is an advantage

 

Auditors

THE POSITION /JOB DESCRIPTION

The Internal Auditor is the head of the College’s internal audit unit and provides independent, objective and consulting services designed to add value and improve the College’s operations.

He/she also provides a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve risk management control and governance processes of the College.

The Internal Auditor shall:

  • Ensure the establishment and operation of an efficient and effective internal financial control system; Vet all proposed expenditures to ensure compliance with laid down internal control systems and other statutory requirements; Assess the extent to which assets are accounted for and safeguard losses;
  • Monitor and ensure that expenditures incurred have been authorised and are within budgetary provisions;
  • Liaise with the external auditors to ensure that appropriate actions are taken on reported audit findings;
  • Draw the attention of the Principal and the Finance Officer to deficiencies in the system with recommendation for remedies, and Discharge any other assignments that the Principal shall deem necessary.

Deputy Director of Finance

JOB SUMMARY

This role is to coordinate and supervise all accounting functions, financial analysis and managing the development and administration of the budget process

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure
  • Responsible for the control and maintenance of all financial transactions and accounting records in compliance with general accounting standards and applicable government regulations
  • Manage payables, receivables, patrol, contracts, client invoicing, Review all monthly and annual financial reports for compliance and accuracy
  • Ensure proper fiscal reporting
  • Prepare operating budget, oversee multi-year fiscal planning and coordinate annual audit
  • Assist in the analysis of all budgets for review by the Finance Director
  • Planning, directing, coordinating and reviewing all personnel within the Division
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedure

Qualification: 

  • Must be a Chartered Accountant and hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field.
  • Applicants shall be required to support their applications with papers and publications for two (2) External Assessors’ evaluation
