JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our team. As an Account Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. The Account Officer will also be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. This role includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling bank statements and supporting the financial department’s overall operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting and Bookkeeping

Process accounts payable and receivable

Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers and expense reports

Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow

Financial Record Management

Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices and receipts

Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and classified

Financial Reporting

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

Prepare and submit financial statements to the finance manager.

Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and report findings

Compliance and Audit

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies and regulations.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Assist in the preparation and monitoring budgets.

Provide financial insights and support in forecasting future financial trends

General Support

Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and other stakeholders regarding financial transactions

Support the finance department with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed
