Full Job Description - Read Carefully
Role purpose
- Analysing, designing, planning and optimization of cost effective integration of Billing (Prepaid/Postpaid) and Business Support Systems (BSS) within and outside of the ecosystem.
- Create, Maintain and Simplify an effective systems architecture for Vodafone Ghana in line with the OpCo and Vodafone Group long term goals and strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Architecting and designing highly available Billing/BSS integrated solutions to meet requirements as defined by the Business Area.
- Support the IT teams to review software design to confirm compliance with architecture principles, specifications, lead design discussions, present ideas to others and assist in the integration of applications and technologies
- Advise and share experience on complex integration of Billing/BSS issues by providing technical guidance to project team members (consultancy)
- Set targets for success, and carry out on-going risk analysis. Identify and manage risks to success and escalate accordingly
- Continued monitoring of Billing/BSS capacity and planning towards the mitigation of any capacity issues
Core Competencies
- BSc. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent
- Professional qualifications in a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience; SDN, NFV, SOA technologies, SOAP, XML, TIBCO, Oracle Fusion Middleware, OSM, OSB, Huawei CBS, Nokia Surepay/SPS, TOGAF, Oracle DB, MySQL, IP Infrastructure and Networks, Storage, Databases, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE or JNCIP qualifications
- More than 3-5 years’ experience in the integration of Billing and BSS architecture in a telecom environment
- Strong technological background, with qualification in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of telecommunication networks and Cloud technologies
- Demonstrated extensive Integration Design and Architecture design management experience in large and complex environments
