The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives and improving livelihoods through food assistance, nutrition programmes, and resilience-building initiatives. In Ghana, WFP supports development efforts through four key pillars: Nutrition, Food Systems, Social Protection, and Emergency Preparedness and Response.

Working closely with government institutions, development partners, and the private sector, WFP aims to strengthen food security, improve nutrition outcomes, support agricultural value chains, and expand access to healthy diets. The Programme Associate will contribute to these efforts by supporting programme implementation, monitoring, coordination, and partnership engagement.

Description of duties

  • Support the development and implementation of programme activities, projects, and operational plans.
  • Provide project management support for designated programmes and initiatives.
  • Monitor data collection processes and ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support programme planning, policy development, and operational decision-making.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on programme activities and results.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and support effective project implementation.
  • Contribute to partnership development and collaboration with government counterparts and other partners.
  • Support capacity-building initiatives and learning activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues and perform other duties as required.

Profile requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analysis, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience supporting humanitarian or development programmes.
  • Experience in data management, data analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of programme design, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.

Language requirement: English.
