Job Vacancy For Sales and Marketing Manager

A reputable petroleum company is looking for an experienced and motivated marketing professional for the position of Sales and Marketing Manager.

Job purpose: To achieve the objectives of the business by developing, growing and sustaining a portfolio of credible customers to drive sales for profitability.

The position reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives
• Lead a team of sales and marketing executives to ensure a continuous flow of sales orders from customers
• Manage the day to day marketing activities of the organization
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
• Send daily, weekly and monthly reports to management
• Review sales performance weekly, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

Knowledge and Skills required

• In-depth knowledge of the petroleum downstream sector
• Proven knowledge and ability to think strategically
• Ability to help shape the organization’s marketing strategy
• Ability to build professional relationships relevant to the development of business potential and partnerships
• Sound decision making based on thorough analysis
• Confident and dynamic personality

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing plus professional membership i.e. CIMG
• An MBA in Sales and Marketing would be an added advantage
• Must have acquired at least five years’ experience in a similar role in the petroleum downstream sector with proven results
• Must not be more than 35 years of age at the time of application.
