A reputable petroleum company is looking for an experienced and motivated marketing professional for the position of Sales and Marketing Manager.
Job purpose: To achieve the objectives of the business by developing, growing and sustaining a portfolio of credible customers to drive sales for profitability.
The position reports directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives
- Lead a team of sales and marketing executives to ensure a continuous flow of sales orders from customers
- Manage the day to day marketing activities of the organization
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
- Send daily, weekly and monthly reports to management
- Review sales performance weekly, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
Knowledge and Skills required
- In-depth knowledge of the petroleum downstream sector
- Proven knowledge and ability to think strategically
- Ability to help shape the organization’s marketing strategy
- Ability to build professional relationships relevant to the development of business potential and partnerships
- Sound decision making based on thorough analysis
- Confident and dynamic personality
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing plus professional membership i.e. CIMG
- An MBA in Sales and Marketing would be an added advantage
- Must have acquired at least five years’ experience in a similar role in the petroleum downstream sector with proven results
- Must not be more than 35 years of age at the time of application.
