Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have:

Job Overview:
A global supplier and operator of offshore floating platforms seek a General Services Technician to work on their offshore Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel on a rotational basis in West Africa. You will assist with first line Marine & Cargo operations and complete all work activities in relation to cargo operations, marine deck activities, Helicopter operations, Crane operations and Vessel operations in accordance with the Facility standards, procedures and specifications. Applicants are invited with good marine engineering/maintenance backgrounds and experience and knowledge of Cargo off-take operations combined with FPSO experience. The key to the role is a strong marine background and a wide expertise in cargo operations. Responsibilities:
This role encompasses many functions including:
• Assist with first line Marine & Cargo operations - activities as directed by relevant Discipline Supervisor on the FPSO and the utilities plant in a safe and efficient manner, being aware of safety of others, effective utilisation of FPSO systems and processes related to FPSO operations, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements and in line with the Company’s Performance standards / associated assurance tasks.
• With all associated activities related with cargo operations, marine deck activities, Helicopter operations, Crane operations, Vessel operations and complete all these work activities in accordance with the Facility standards, Facility Management procedures and specifications
• Assist with watch keeping duties, monitoring cargo, ballast, mooring and communication systems and environmental conditions.
• Assist under direction to operate the marine and cargo operations efficiently, ensuring all procedures be adhered to and all defects are reported to the offshore technical lead. To ensure a pro-active and continuous approach to safety.
• Monitor all vessels in the vicinity by maintaining an efficient Radar / AIS and VHF watch
• Carry out HLO/HDA duties, as per Offshore Helicopter Landing Officer Document #: 0245-MI20-OPSM-0369 for landing and takeoff activities including weather updates, close liaison with HLO team helicopter operations, as required
• Communicate with the shore base helicopter information including passenger names weights, freight, weather and timings.
• As applicable to qualifications, carry out Crane Operations as OCC, or crane signaller.
• Assist and guide general services technician group with tank washing and gas freeing operations
• Ensuring that the offtake equipment and machineries, such as the IGS system, offtake meter and prover, cargo pumps, are functioning correctly.
• Ensure the tests on Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) equipment are carried out in accordance with SOLAS.
• Ensure that all Marine related communications equipment is functioning properly.
• Assistance for Maintenance activities like Periodic inspections
This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary. In addition:
• Offshore/Hardship allowances may be considered
• Transportation as necessary and required.
• Alternatively, a transportation allowance may be provided.
• 15 days paid leave and public holidays.

? Foreign Service Premium may be considered.
? You will be entitled to 1 trip for every 3 months service. This will include an economy flight plus 7 calendar day home leave (including weekend and public holiday but excluding travel day) to visit your home country or to travel outside of designated country.

? A small relocation allowance may be offered.
? The Company will organise all aspects of mobilisation/ demobilisation

This is an offshore rotational position and as such:
• You will work 28 days on and 28 days off.
