Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 10 years offshore oil and gas or relevant industry experience essential.
• A minimum of 8 years CCR Production Operations experience essential.
• Experience of Yokohama’s Centum VP preferred
• HND or High school diploma 
• C&G/ONC/HNC or equivalent Mechanical or trade background
• NVQ Certificate III Diploma PROCESS ENGINEERING - HYDROCARBONS
• SVQ3 – Operating Plant & Systems – Production
• Production Management systems Experience
• Authorised Mechanical isolating authority
• FPSO experience desired.
• Emergency response duties / fire team trained
• Strong stakeholder appreciation essential. 
• Experience in providing on-the-job training or mentoring more junior peers highly desired. 
• Experience of working with Localisation programs highly desired.
• Diplomatic – able to work with various players to achieve objectives. 
• Experience of working in remote locations desired.
• Good attitude to work.

Job Overview:

A global supplier and operator of offshore floating platforms seek a Cargo Control Room (CCR) Technician to work on their offshore Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel on a rotational basis in West Africa. You will provide and perform CCR production and process operations safely. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 10 years offshore oil and gas or relevant industry experience combined with a minimum of 8 years in CCR Production Operations. They have an enviable reputation for EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) services as well as charter and operations projects. Responsibilities:

This role encompasses many functions including:

• Provides and perform safely CCR production and process operations duties and responsibilities.
• Manage, monitor and controls the DCS systems, Fire and Gas systems and the subsea FMC systems.
• Carry out plant and equipment start-up and shutdown safely and in accordance to company procedures and work instructions.
• Responsible for the safe operations of the process system in case of emergency as directed by the Production Supervisor / Production Superintendent / FM and OIM.
• Carry out the safe operation of CCR for process plant and production related equipment safely and efficiently, under the direction of the Process Superintendent and Production Supervisor.
• Responsible for the operation of the CCR DCS system via monitor and controls the Process systems, Fire and Gas systems, utility systems and subsea FMC systems.
• Responsible for the CCR operation and direction of the field operators for any plant changes and process adjustments to ensure process equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of process plant, systems and equipment, and associated equipment, during the shift, and to ensure proper handovers during shift change.

This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary. In addition:

This is an offshore rotational position and as such:

• You will work 28 days on and 28 days off.
• You will be a permanent employee working effectively for half the year 
• You will be paid monthly and the salary will reflect the work schedule
