A reputable financial institution is inviting applications from suitable qualified persons for employment to fill the under-listed positions: Financial Accountant
Objective
• To review and update accounts ledgers and manage assets for the company
Duties
• Review and update all accounts in the general ledger and sub-ledgers
• Keep and update fixed assets register and track all movements
• Authorise accounts payable invoice in the system for cheques to be written
• Prepare and post period end journals for pre-payment
• Reconcile all bank accounts and follow up on outstanding issues
• Formulate financial strategies, policies, procedures and action plans to achieve maximum growth and profitability of the company
• Any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
Required Skills / Experience
• University Degree in Business Administration (Accounting Option) or its equivalent and ICA/ACCA Level 3
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience
• Knowledge in financial accounting
• Ability to prepare and interpret balance sheet, income statements, cash flow statements etc
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any standard accounting software
Years of Experience : 3 Years
• High ethical standards
Education Level : Bachelors Degree
