Hollard Insurance Ghana LTD is seeking a highly skilled, analytical and results-oriented IT Infrastructure Officer to join our Information Technology.
Job Objective
To ensure the availability, security and optimal performance of the Company’s IT infrastructure through effective management of servers, networks, systems and related technologies, supporting seamless business operations and continuity.
Report to: Head of Information Technology
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Administer, monitor and maintain servers, network infrastructure, routers, switches, firewalls and related IT systems.

Manage LAN/WAN, VPNs, Wi-Fi and branch network connectivity to ensure reliable communication across business locations.

Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Microsoft 365 and endpoint management systems.

Implement infrastructure upgrades, system updates and technology improvements to enhance performance and reliability.

Monitor network performance, system availability and infrastructure capacity, proactively resolving potential issues.

Implement and monitor IT security controls, including endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, patch management and security monitoring.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network and system-related incidents to minimise business disruptions.

Support system backups, disaster recovery testing and business continuity arrangements.

Maintain infrastructure documentation and collaborate with technology vendors to resolve technical challenges.

Qualification and Relevant Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum of four (4) years’ relevant experience in IT infrastructure, network administration or systems administration.

Professional certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+ or Security+ will be an added advantage.

Experience in the insurance, banking or financial services industry is desirable.

Strong knowledge of server administration, network infrastructure and IT systems management.

Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless networks.

Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and Microsoft 365 administration.

Knowledge of cybersecurity, endpoint protection, vulnerability management and security monitoring.

Understanding of backup solutions, disaster recovery and cloud technologies.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, teamwork, customer service and organisational skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
