Role Purpose

The Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling Wanic Lubricants Ghana Limited's range of automotive lubricants to prospective and existing customers. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, building customer relationships, increasing product visibility, and generating consistent sales within assigned markets.

Reporting

The Sales Representative will provide sales activity updates, customer leads, orders, market feedback, and other relevant information to the designated representative of Wanic Lubricants Ghana Limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential customers, including auto parts dealers, mechanics, garages, transport operators, fleet owners, logistics companies, construction companies, quarries, fuel stations, and other businesses that use automotive lubricants.

  • Promote Wanic Lubricants' products and clearly communicate their features, quality, applications, and benefits to customers.

  • Actively generate new leads and convert prospective customers into buyers.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

  • Visit customers and potential customers within assigned territories or markets.

  • Obtain customer orders and ensure accurate order information is submitted to Wanic Lubricants for processing.

  • Follow up with customers on quotations, orders, deliveries, and future purchasing requirements.

  • Identify opportunities for bulk purchases and long-term supply relationships.

  • Introduce Wanic Lubricants to new businesses, distributors, retailers, workshops, and commercial users.

  • Support the expansion of Wanic Lubricants into new markets and territories.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, leads, visits, orders, and sales activities.

  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, customer feedback, market opportunities, and potential orders.

  • Gather information on competitor products, pricing, customer preferences, and general market trends and report relevant findings to management.

  • Represent Wanic Lubricants professionally and maintain a positive image of the company and its products.

  • Use approved company marketing materials, product information, pricing, and promotional materials when engaging customers.

  • Follow company procedures regarding pricing, customer orders, payments, deliveries, and product representation.

  • Participate in sales meetings, product briefings, promotional activities, and other sales-related activities when required.

  • Work toward agreed sales targets and business development objectives.

Key Expectations

The Sales Representative is expected to be proactive, results-oriented, trustworthy, professional, and capable of independently identifying and developing sales opportunities.

The representative must maintain good communication with management, provide timely updates on sales activities, and conduct all customer engagements in a manner that protects the reputation and business interests of Wanic Lubricants Ghana Limited.

  • Familiarity with the local automotive, transport, industrial, or lubricant market is an advantage
