THE ROLE

As a Field Supervisor, you are the frontline of our operations. You will be responsible for the direct, hourly oversight of a crew of approximately 25 field workers, ensuring every plant is handled with care and every task meets our global standards. You are not a remote manager; you remain with your team throughout the entire working day to provide real-time guidance and quality control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality First: Verify work in real-time; if a task is incorrect, you ensure it is redone on the spot.
  • Digital Tracking: Use ArcGIS to mark completed activities at the individual plant level, ensuring transparent data for the management team.
  • Workforce Leadership: Manage daily attendance, track per-worker productivity, and ensure your crew has essential needs like drinking water.
  • Safety & PPE: Ensure 100% compliance with safety gear (PPE) and correct tool usage for every worker, every day.
  • Emergency Readiness: Participate in fire preparedness and standby duties during the fire season to protect the plantation.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Education: A Diploma in Forestry, Agriculture, or a related field (relevant field experience may be considered).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in plantation, forestry, or large-scale agricultural operations.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading crews in labor-intensive outdoor environments.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfort using digital tools like ArcGIS or mobile data capture apps.
  • Attributes: High discipline, physical resilience, and the assertiveness to enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) consistently.

  • Location: Assigned Block (Camp-based).
  • Environment: 100% field-based work in varied weather and terrain.
  • Readiness: Requires early morning readiness before the workforce assembles.
