Job Description
Department: Trading & Supply Division
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Officer will be responsible for managing procurement, inventory control, and logistics operations for the Trading & Supply Division. This role requires strong finance and supply chain management background to ensure efficient flow of goods, accurate record-keeping, and cost-effective supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for equipment, materials, and goods
- Prepare purchase orders and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor relationships
- Ensure timely procurement to meet business requirements
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliation
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders
- Implement inventory optimization strategies to reduce costs
- Manage warehouse operations and ensure proper storage
Financial Management
- Track procurement costs and prepare budget reports
- Process invoices and verify pricing accuracy
- Maintain financial records for all supply chain transactions
- Prepare cost analysis and identify savings opportunities
- Reconcile inventory values with accounting records
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and customers
- Arrange transportation and ensure timely deliveries
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
- Manage import/export documentation when applicable
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare regular supply chain performance reports
- Maintain procurement and inventory documentation
- Generate monthly stock reports and analysis
- Track key supply chain metrics and KPIs

Required Skills or Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics operations
- Strong finance/accounting background with inventory management experience
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and inventory software
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Knowledge of procurement best practices
- Understanding of import/export procedures (preferred)
Salary: GHS 2500 net per month
