Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to join our team on-site in Accra. The HR Manager will oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing HR strategies, managing performance evaluation processes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The role also involves fostering a positive work environment, addressing employee concerns, and supporting talent development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit personnel
  • Onboard new personnel
  • Establish salary scales and compensation and benefits systems
  • Develop and /or implement performance settings and appraisal systems
  • Establish personnel policies and ensure implementation
  • Ensure that practices, rules and regulations are in conformity with Ghanaian law
  • Develop and/or adapt personnel training and development initiatives in line with the requirements of the company
  • Maintain employee relations and ensure well being and safety
  • In coordination with relevant managers (for example Finance) ensure payroll accuracy and timely execution
  • In coordination with the senior management team and the GM contribute to developing adequate programs to establish a strong corporate culture
  • Recommend and develop any relevant initiatives related to the organization and its needs from a personnel and HR perspectives

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resource management or equivalent
  • Professional certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, IHRMP) will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressive roles leading to Head of HR in a similar size or larger company
  • Knowledge and experience in Ghanaian labor law, recruitment and staffing, training and development, organizational planning and development, performance setting and appraisal systems , employee relations
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
