Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to drive growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence in Ghana. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial technology, a proven sales/business development track record, and the ability to foster long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage potential leads, identify their needs and present tailored solutions to drive sales.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive revenue growth.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and investors.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and tech teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
- Share market information and customer feedback with management.
- Prepare business proposals, sales forecast, reports and business development strategies for management review.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients and partners.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics and KPIs.
- Perform effective follow-ups with customers through consultation to address queries if any and guide them in their decision making.
- Travel within Ghana when necessary.
- Assist with onboarding of customers.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years in business development, sales, or marketing within FinTech or financial services
- Good knowledge of Ghana’s fintech regulations, especially Bank of Ghana Regulations.
- Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets and manage a pipeline effectively.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with CRM tools.
- Must have basic knowledge in Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism.
- Anti Money Laundering Certification is a plus
- Self-motivated, proactive and results-driven
