NUMA is a leading Safe Water Enterprise (SWE) with operations in Ghana, Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Uganda, dedicated to delivering safe water services at a District-Wide Scale. With over a decade of experience, we have provided safe water to over 860,000 people across Africa.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Sales Data Analyst to empower NUMA’s sales and finance teams with actionable insights. This pivotal role involves analyzing complex sales data, including prepaid metering and customer trends, to drive revenue growth, optimize campaigns, and inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive professional with advanced analytical skills and a passion for using data to support NUMA’s mission of sustainable water access.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data Collection and Analysis; Collect, organize, and analyze sales data to identify trends, track performance, segment customers, and support market opportunity assessments.
  • Reporting and Visualization; Develop and maintain sales reports and dashboards, creating clear visualizations and summaries to communicate insights and performance metrics.
  • Sales Forecasting and Planning; Use historical data and market trends to forecast sales, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and recommend data-driven improvements to sales strategies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams to understand data needs, deliver insights in a clear and actionable manner, and provide data support for assessing new market opportunities.

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience as a Sales Data Analyst or in a similar role. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with prepaid metering systems or utility-based sales data is highly desirable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and modelling. 
  • Expertise in business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and CRM systems (e.g., Laison, Salesforce). Strong command of Excel for data analysis and reporting. 
  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Minitab) is a plus.
