About The Role
- Develop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
- Ensure security of local raw material supply (quality on time in full).
- Source raw materials in the most cost-effective manner at the same time keeping a good eye on quality.
- Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and ideal productivity opportunities.
- Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers as well as devise negotiation strategies and secure profitable long-term deals.
- Identify and mitigate local raw material sourcing risks inclusive of short, mid, and long-term horizons.
- Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers including diverse suppliers as well as devise strategies to develop/empower the suppliers.
- Deploy digital farming platforms to ensure smallholder farmers have accurate records and traceability is guaranteed in our sourcing regions.
- Implement regenerative agriculture projects in-country, working collaboratively in cross-functional teams in an agile and delivery-oriented manner.
- Organize and execute farmer engagement workshops, GAP trainings and field visits to ensure our local smallholder farmers are well equipped to be profitable in their operations.
- Map all the key stakeholders, develop and implement robust stakeholder engagement plans.
