A trusted ICT and Telecommunications Company in Ghana is looking for Procurement Officer for immediate employment
Job Purpose
- The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while adhering to the organization’s budget, quality standards, and specifications.
- This role supports the Procurement Manager and works closely with internal stakeholders to source and purchase materials, services, and products required for operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source suppliers that meet the organization’s requirements for goods and services
- Obtain quotes and conduct price comparisons to ensure competitive pricing and value for money

- Issue purchase orders, track orders, and follow up on deliveries
- Maintain an up-to-date list of approved suppliers and manage the supplier database
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, product specifications, and service requirements
- Ensure that goods and services are delivered on time and according to the agreed- upon terms
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that procurement orders are made in accordance with the organization's needs
- Track delivery timelines and ensure that all incoming goods meet the necessary quality standards and specifications
- Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for the organization
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal procurement policies and regulatory requirements
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management/Logistics or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Experience in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing procurement operations
- Proven track record of managing budgets and cost-saving initiatives
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes and best practices
