The Shop Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The role involves assisting customers, managing inventory, and performing basic cashier duties.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Welcome customers warmly and assist with product selection.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure customers leave the store satisfied with their shopping experience.
Sales Support:
- Assist in promoting and upselling products to meet sales targets.
- Provide detailed information on product features and benefits.
- Suggest complementary products or alternatives based on customer needs.

Inventory Management:
- Restock shelves and ensure all products are displayed attractively.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the Store Manager.
- Assist in stock-taking and inventory audits when required.
Cashier Duties:
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
- Process payments via cash, credit cards, or mobile payment systems.
- Issue receipts and ensure proper cash handling at the till.
Store Maintenance:
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of clutter.
- Ensure displays are updated and comply with promotional standards.
- Regularly check for damaged or expired products and report to the supervisor.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow store policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and regulations.
Salary: GHS 700
