We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of MJ Agro Farms, specifically focusing on the accounting functions related to our poultry farm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the poultry farm operations.
- Record and classify financial transactions by accounting principles.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
Bank Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Generate financial analyses to support decision-making processes.
Budget Monitoring
- Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
- Provide support in variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Inventory Management
- Collaborate with the operations team to track and manage inventory.
- Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations.
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Previous experience or internship in accounting is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
