Junior Accountant - Reputable Company

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Accountant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of MJ Agro Farms, specifically focusing on the accounting functions related to our poultry farm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the poultry farm operations.
• Record and classify financial transactions by accounting principles.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.

Bank Reconciliation

• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Generate financial analyses to support decision-making processes.

Budget Monitoring

• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
• Provide support in variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.

Compliance and Auditing

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits as required.

Inventory Management

• Collaborate with the operations team to track and manage inventory.
• Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Previous experience or internship in accounting is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
