The company is engaged in rice processing and requires an accountant to manage its day-to-day financial activities, maintain accurate financial records, and provide reliable financial information to support business decisions.
Purpose of the Role
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the company’s financial records, monitoring income and expenditure, supporting cost control, and ensuring that financial transactions are properly documented.
Key Responsibilities
The Accountant will:

Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.

Prepare cashbooks, ledgers, bank reconciliations, and basic financial reports.

Monitor revenue, expenses, receivables, payable, and cash flow.

Support product costing, including the cost of paddy rice, processing, packaging, labour, utilities, transportation, and other production expenses.

Maintain records of inventory purchases, production costs, sales, and stock movements.
-
Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.

Process staff payroll and maintain relevant payroll records.
-
Support budgeting and expenditure control.
-
Ensure proper filing and safeguarding of financial records.

Assist management with financial information required for planning and decision-making.

Support compliance with applicable tax and statutory requirements.

Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and relevant institutions when required.

Qualifications and Experience
The preferred candidate should have:
-
A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Practical experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration.

Basic knowledge of taxation and statutory financial requirements.

Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
-
Experience in a manufacturing, agro-processing, or food-processing company is an advantage.
-
Professional accounting certification is not required for this role.

Reporting

The Accountant will report to the Managing Director or any other person designated by management.
