Control & Compliance Officer - Momentum Metropolitan

Role Purpose

Implement the compliance strategy aligned to the compliance monitoring plan to enable the business within a legal framework.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support in the Identification of potential compliance risks;
• Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations;
• Assist in the analysis of new legislation to identify implications for the business;
• Support in the implementation of controls to mitigate compliance risk;
• Assist the business to build compliance processes into the business processes;
• Review internal control processes at regular intervals to determine its efficiency
• Deliver monthly compliance & control reports to the supervisor
• Assist in managing the contracts and agreements library
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor within scope and context of role

Requirements

• 1st Degree in law, business administration or a related field with at least 3 years post qualification work experience is required.
• At least level 1 ACCA/CA/CIMA will be an advantage
• Experience in the financial industry is an advantage.
• Key competencies include proficiency in applicable regulations, attention to detail, integrity, business acumen, collaboration etc.
