We are looking for an experienced and self-driven technician to join our organization’s Maintenance Department in Accra.
Essential Duties
- Ensuring a constant supply of steam at the right pressure for bacterize, press, liquor tanks for pressing and deodorizer.
- Ensuring a constant supply of water from the cooling tower for cooling the beater blade mill and ball mills at the grinding room.
- Ensure a constant supply of chilled water from the chiller to the turbotemper, hydraulic unit of the press and cake cooling conveyor during production.
- Ensure a constant supply of hot water to the liquor tanks, butter tanks, beater blade mill, ball mills and product pipes when the machines are idle.
- Record the daily consumption of all utilities (gas (LPG), water and diesel).
- Reporting all problems and challenges to Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor.

- Ensure the right chemical dosage to all utility equipment for protection (chiller, cooling towers and boilers).
- Carry out minor maintenance on boilers, pipes and plumbing, strainers/filters, cooling units, ventilators, and compressors.
- Ensure a constant supply of dry compressed air to the factory equipment
- Present a monthly energy report for utility usage to the maintenance manager at the end of every month.
- Checking if machines are in good condition before and after starting.
- Monitor and complete all relevant documents at the end of every shift.
- Perform daily water analysis of boiler, cooling tower, chillers, and raw water.
- Follow and comply with the company’s laid down hygiene, safety, Quality, GMPs
Required Skills or Experience
The interested candidate should have the following qualification:
- MET 2 or 3
- EET 2 or 3
- Refrigeration Technician
- The interested candidate should also have knowledge of the Heating systems, Ventilation systems and Refrigeration systems.
