Optimal Security Solutions is recruiting a Technician Assistant who will assist the technical coordinator with all technical operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, maintenance, and repair of gate automation systems and electric fencing equipment. They will also ensure all systems are serviced and maintained to the highest safety and quality standards while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in gate motors and energisers.

Repair and service Centurion gate motors, energisers, and associated parts.

Replace faulty parts, including control boards, batteries, receivers, motors, safety beams, remotes, and energisers.

Program and configure gate motor controllers, remotes, GSM devices, and access control equipment.

Complete service reports and maintenance records after each job.
-
Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in good working condition.

Follow all electrical safety procedures and company policies.
-
Respond promptly to emergency service calls when required.
-
Receive calls and respond to customer queries.
-
Train customers on the proper operation and basic maintenance of installed systems.

Requirements
-
Certificate, Diploma, or Technical/Vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, with at least 1 year of experience in gate automation and electric fencing.

Ability to pay attention to details.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and customer service skills, with a high level of honesty, reliability, and professionalism.

Ability to comply with the service centre safety standards.

Good service reporting skills.
