The role is responsible for deploying an overarching marketing strategy including branding, B2B demand generation, online and offline customer marketing and advertising. The role will be the owner of a standalone marketing budget to be used to drive demand; the owner of customer experience metrics to create and deploy merchants’ solutions improvement strategies
General Duties
Marketing Strategy and Implementation
- Drives strategy and execution for digital marketing, lead generation and engagement, including content marketing, digital advertising, search engine optimization, mobile, and social media.

- Develops the B2B demand generation strategy for Emergent Payments Ghana
- Defines and develops a customer segmentation strategy
Market Research and Product Development / Improvement
- Owns customer experience metrics collaborating with the service desk team
- Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data to identify problems and pain points in the customer journey, as well as opportunities for growth.
- Innovates new customer solutions for secure and convenient package delivery
- Oversees customer insight survey processes, and translate insights into actions – new product development or improvements on existing one
- Stays up-to-date with competitors and understand the latest trends in the industry.
Marketing Communication and Branding
- Manage daily execution of campaigns across marketing channels.
- Ensures brand consistency across media and platforms in marketing messaging and product copy.
- Plays a key role in local branding decisions
- Nurtures campaigns available to the sales force
- Manage social media accounts, by implementing a social media strategy

Required Skills or Experience
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (minimum entry-level qualification required by the position)
- University degree in Marketing or a related field; an additional professional certificate in Marketing (CIMG, CIM-UK) will be an advantage
- A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, preferably in the retail and commerce industries
TECHNICAL (key job knowledge/skills required by the position)
- Ability to create and manage content for distribution to online channels and social media platforms for B2B
- Demonstrated ability to create B2B marketing programs that increase revenue and generate customer acquisition, conversion and lead generation
- Ability to plan and execute digital Marketing Strategy experience.
- Ability to conduct market research
MANAGERIAL (State key managerial knowledge/skills required by the position)
- Ability to plan, organise and execute programmes
- Ability to prepare marketing plans and budget and monitor their execution
- Ability to deliver work to tight deadlines, with good organizational and time-management skills
