As the IT Manager at AFG, you will be reporting to the Chief of Staff of the Firm and be in charge of managing all hardware and software issues of AFG. This opportunity is highly international as it entails working with team members from up to 20 different countries in addition to our core team in Accra, Ghana. It also requires working in close collaboration with the Director of Engineering to continuously integrate different IT systems used at AFG.
Who you are
- You are passionate about private sector development in Africa and the purpose of AFG
- In your 3-4 years of working experience, you have worked in a notable IT service firm and worked with clients across different industries

- You hold a BSc Degree from a leading African or foreign tertiary institution; MSc is great but not a must
- You are highly experienced with O365, Windows and Lenovo / Microsoft hardware (corresponding certifications preferred)
- Throughout your career, you have developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit and “can do” attitude
- You excel at being customer-service oriented in your work and know how to deal with time sensitive requests
- You know what the best-practices are for successfully managing the hardware stock of Firms and are ready to make proactive recommendations wherever you see a gap
- You are a strong and clear communicator
- Direct feedback is a must for you and working in a fast-paced team environment does not scare you, but rather motivates you
- You care about working in a highly supportive environment with team members who are dedicated and help each other
Your responsibilities
- Administer cloud-based filing system of the Firm and grant access rights as needed
- Manage all hardware of the Firm and ensure continued maintenance
- Handle relationship with IT service provider when it comes to handling software issues and cybersecurity
- Support the engineering team in the integration of proprietary tech platform of AFG with other software solutions
- Create and close e-mail accounts for new and departing staff
- Maintain all computer systems and networks of the organization
