Job Description

Transnational Academic Group Ghana is looking for an experienced, dynamic and self-motivated Marketing & PR Manager.  TAG Ghana operates Lancaster University Ghana on the basis of its partnership with Lancaster University, which is a top ranked UK based university.  The Accra based campus recruits students from Ghana, Nigeria, and other countries on the continent.

 

Job Summary


The Marketing and PR Manager oversees and directly manages all marketing, student recruitment, advertising, and public relations aspects of the business.  We are looking for a results oriented individual who is dynamic and energetic, and who can 

  • manage the university’s engagement and relationships with our partner schools and other B2B partners 
  • formulate and deliver effective marketing and PR campaigns through online, social media and traditional channels. 

The candidate will have extensive experience conducting on-line and social media campaigns that are data and results driven.  He or she will also be adept at collecting and analysing marketing data and metrics, and at reporting on performance versus targets. The candidate will also have experience in developing and maintaining B2B relationships

 

Although we do have a preference for an individual who has experience in the higher education sector, candidates with similar or transferable experience are invited to apply and will be give due consideration.

Person Specifications

  • A related undergraduate qualification is essential, and a Master’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, MBA (Marketing option) or a related discipline is desirable. 
  • Professional certification in marketing i.e. CIM, CIMA, or a Professional certification in Advertising is desirable. 
  • Excellent knowledge of digital and online marketing is essential.
  • Experience in formulating and conducting results oriented and data driven marketing campaigns is essential.
  • Excellent grasp of marketing data and metrics, and ability to create and deliver reports on marketing effectiveness, target vs results, sales pipeline and conversion trends. 
  • Significant knowledge and working experience in business development, sales & marketing, customer care, corporate communications, advertising and emerging market trends.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and partnership opportunities with corporates, academics, students and other external partners
  • Good understanding of the higher education sector.
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • At least 6 years post-qualification work experience
