We are the leading Pan-African communications and business consultancy. APO Group (www.APO-opa.com) who is currently looking for a talented Graphic Designer & Visual Strategist to join our team. In this role you will report directly to the VP of Marketing and Public Relations.
Who Are You?
As a Graphic Designer you will combine your creativity and technical skills in creating engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. The goal is to inspire and attract the right audience. For this, you need to be creative and have a strong ability to translate requirements into design.
You will have solid digital, social media and PowerPoint presentation design skills and an excellent eye for design, modern graphic communications skills, a visual storytelling sense, and a strong interest in branding and marketing techniques.
You Will Need To:
- Develop corporate design guidelines
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

- Create social media assets
- Testing graphics across various media and platforms
- Schedule projects and define budget constraints
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs
- Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
- Work with copywriters to produce final design
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
What You Will Bring:
- 3+ years related Graphic Design experience
- Excellent PowerPoint design and multi-media presentation skills is a must
- Experienced in social media branding
- Good typographic skills
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Experienced with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- Experienced in animation and moving images
- Website design and coding experience preferable
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
BONUS SKILLS ++
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field
- Experience as a Social Media Strategist
- Experience within the Public Relations/Communications/Advertising Industries
