Our company is an active mining company in Ghana. The company is currently doing underground mining in Ghana. We are currently looking for a qualified HSE manager to join us.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in SHE by anticipating current and future risks and mitigating these. In particular, identify safety, occupational health and environmental risks across the project packages and escalate issues and risks that impact other areas of the project
- Develop and implement the SHE strategy that includes building a behavioral based safety culture
- Provide strategic direction and manage the SHE portfolio of professionals including the Project Manager Safety & Health, Project Manager Environmental and the Public Relations Officer
- Conduct regular project and statutory reports
- Contribute to the overall success of the project by leading the SHE Continuous Improvement within the company
- Review annual capital plans to ensure that they are appropriately prioritized

Qualification Required & Experience
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in major projects
- Relevant degree or equivalent in Safety and Environmental fields of study
- Proven project management, execution, and leadership skills
- Proven experience developing and implementing systems successfully
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively influence others to action
- High degree of personal integrity, including the ability to work on confidential matters.
- Proven experience consulting and troubleshooting to allow development of sound resolution of issues
- Further training or exposure in international standards is highly advantageous
