A reputable Company based in Accra currently positioned to venture into extensive digitization of data and their value-added transfer into electronic data systems, is seeking to recruit highly motivated and results driven individuals with the requisite professional competencies and experience to fill the role as IT Officer
ROLE TITLE: IT OFFICER
REPORTS TO: IT SECURITY ANALYST
JOB PURPOSE:
To perform network administration (LAN & WAN), e-mail/antivirus set-ups and configuration and provide technical support to end users to facilitate the achievement of Data Capturing Project goals and objectives.
KEY DUTIES & ESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and update maintenance records of PC’s, Printers and other related equipment.
- Install and setup PCs and provide technical support to users as appropriate.

- Create, operate, modify and delete username and passwords of employees in the system as and when directed.
- Install and configure printers and other peripherals to facilitate company operations.
- Configure and provide technical support to end users on internet/e-mail administration.
- Set up, configure and monitor approved antivirus for Users.
- Operate existing and future security equipment used by the organization for security operations
- Perform minor hardware equipment repairs as appropriate.
- Monitor approved security software and tools to ensure maximum security and protection against ICT intrusion and other attacks.
- Provide support in the investigation of IT related issues/challenges.
- Perform troubleshooting on IT related issues.
- Train staff on basic ICT related systems within prescribed limits of authority.
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the operations of the Operations Unit.
- Stay abreast with new/emerging developments and international best practice in IT management to facilitate/enhance the operations of the company.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent discipline from a recognised institution with three (3) years relevant working experience in a similar role.
OR
Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent discipline from a recognised institution with five (5) years relevant working experience in a similar role.

- Knowledge/understanding of operating and security systems.
- Knowledge/understanding of data and telecommunication systems.
- Knowledge/understanding of databases and electronic messaging.

- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and other relevant IT tools.
- Ability to handle information with utmost confidentiality.

- Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all categories of employees.
