A reputable organisation invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians for the position of Graduate Master/Mistress, History
JOB FUNCTION
To nurture and educate students through effective teaching and learning in the Social Sciences, particularly History
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and deliver lessons in accordance with the approved syllabus
- Select or prepare and use a range of different learning resources and equipment
- Provide lesson plan for all lessons
- Assist students who need special/extra attention
- Attend all school functions regularly and punctually
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations
- Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of students' progress and development
- Manage students behaviour in and outside the classroom to ensure discipline in the school
- Engage in co-curricular activities
- Comply with agreed school policies and guidelines, which aim to promote pupil/student education
- Perform any other duties that may be determined by the Headmaster or Head of School from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENT
The right candidate must possess the following:
- A Bachelor of Education in History OR Bachelor of Arts in History plus Diploma/Certificate in Education
- Not less than six (6) years relevant post-qualification experience in Teaching

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Supervisory skills
- Good presentation skills
- Computer literacy skills
- Knowledge in Planning methods
- Knowledge in expanded scheme of work
- Ability to prioritise work
- Have an eye for detail
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a Team
