JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE
To collect field data and assist in laboratory experiments
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares progress reports on state of maintenance of experimental plots for the Executive Director and Heads of Scientific Divisions.
- Co-ordinates development and maintenance of experimental plots and provision of planting
- Organises the demarcation of plots allocated for field trials.
- Organises the processing of mandated crops for sale
- Supervises immediate subordinates to ensure that time, quality and other standards are adhered to.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
SKILLS
- Strong analysis and logical reasoning skills.
- Foster relationships and teamwork skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
QUALIFICATION
- First Degree in Agriculture/Agronomy/Extension from a recognised university
- Knowledge in computer Database entry programmes
