International Community School Ghana is a world-class institution providing students with an inclusive holistic and international education needed to succeed in college/university and become a patriotic leaders.
We educate confident, responsible and engaged learners from pre-school through to high school. Our students take the Cambridge International Exams, IGCSE and the AS/A Level Exams.
THE POSITION:
We are looking to recruit for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. He/She
- Should help devise new methods of cooking and new menu items.
- Should be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals.
- Should also be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking.
- Should be experienced in using various ingredients and cooking techniques

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Operate various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
- Check quality of ingredients
- Devise new recipes
- Offer a creative menu to compete with other international schools
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
- Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
REQUIREMENTS
- NVTI Grade I &Grade or Advanced Catering
- Proven experience as a cook
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
