THE POSITION:

We are looking to recruit for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. He/She

• Should help devise new methods of cooking and new menu items.
• Should be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals.
• Should also be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking.
• Should be experienced in using various ingredients and cooking techniques

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Operate various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
• Check quality of ingredients
• Devise new recipes
• Offer a creative menu to compete with other international schools
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
• Assists other cooks during the food assembly process

REQUIREMENTS

• NVTI Grade I &Grade or Advanced Catering
• Proven experience as a cook
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• Very good communication skills
• Excellent physical condition and stamina
