A reputable insurance company in Ghana controlling a significant share of the life insurance market is seeking to recruit desirable professionals with a high pedigree to assume the under-listed position as Head Alternative Distribution

HEAD ALTERNATIVE DISTRIBUTTON

Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, Business Development, the successful candidate to be se}ected for this role wili bc responsible
for Bancassuraneet Mobile Insurance, and Microinsurance for the informal sector.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Alternative distribution team in the achievement of the Company's objectives.
  • Lead in the drive for more alternative distribution channels to realise the full potential of the Company
  • Make input into the development of the overall marketing strategy of the organisation.
  • Lead in negotiation with partners to enrol new partners & review existing relationship for improved performance.
  • Transform Channel strategy into operational objectives and grow premium.
  • Analyse existing business and develop new distribution partners (Bancassurance, Mobile Insurance and MN(Ys) on a consistent basis and develop strategies for using these channels to achieve sales targets.

  • Identify new business opportunities using relevant research tools/sector specific targeting, cold calling and networking etc.
  • Develop high business network and relationship for business opportunities and leverage on them.
  • Develop Monitoring & Evaluation tools to track performance daily/weekly etc.
  • Develop tools to consistently evaluate the performance of the team on a regular basis.
  • Groom, coach, train and upskill channel team.
  • Develop structures and systems to promote teamwork among the unit and all functional units.
  • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage financial and other Company resources.

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree from a recognised institution.
  • A professional qualification in Insurance/Marketing or a Masters Degree will be an advantage.
  • A minimum of three (3) to six (6) years' management experience in Alternative Distribution in an Insurance Company.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • A strong understanding Of customer support processes, as well as a sales and marketing process in the B2B environment within the Alternative Distribution space.
  • Excellent command of English verbal & written and the ability to speak one Ghanaian local language.
  • A team player with the ability to work without supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, persuasive and negotiation skills.
  • Result customer-oriented.
  • Good organisaxional and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
