As a key member of the Country Property leadership team, the Account Manager will be responsible for the strategic Management of the clients diverse National Portfolio of owned, leased, office and retail assets. The key purpose of this senior role is to actively manage a property portfolio that enables the client to deliver on its customer’s needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Portfolio Management

  • Overall responsibility for year on year Programme of acquisitions, disposals, subleases, closures and renewals in accordance with a Multi-Year Plan ensuring that the clients’ premises are always optimally located, occupied and that rental costs are minimized.
  • Monitoring and managing lease expiry dates to ensure that leases are renewed in a timely fashion.

Reporting

  • With support of Centre of Excellence team own the timely and accurate maintenance of the Lease Admin Database and CBRE CRM Tool, Transact.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaising with, understanding business drivers of and advising senior stakeholders. To understand business plans and adapt property strategy and execution accordingly.
  • Building and presenting business cases relating to property transactions for support by internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members in Property to ensure flawless and seamless delivery of projects and that Key Performance Indicators are met.

Governance & Risk

  • Ensure that all Account Management (AM) activities are delivered in line within the clients’ standards & procedures.
  • Monitor, escalate and mitigate risks within the clients operational risk framework.

Finance

  • Preparing and monitoring performance against annual rental budget.
  • Working closely with finance team, validate that Landlord payments are made in line with contractual agreements.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.
 
Candidate Requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Senior Level Stakeholder engagement
  • Awareness of Risk Management in a Corporate Real Estate environment
  • Accounting / budgeting
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Multi-tasking and sensitive to cross-cultural exposures
  • Organizing and prioritizing a large and varied workload
  • Strong Communication (verbal & written) and Negotiation skills, Diplomatic but assertive

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Engineering or related discipline

  • Minimum 7 + years in the real estate industry and 5 + Years in a managerial position

  • Commercial Lease Transaction Experience

  • Candidates with a recognized real estate (RICS/ MCR) qualification will have a distinct advantage

     

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex corporate documents.

  • Ability to respond effectively to vastly delicate matters

  • Ability to write reports and articles using data to support

  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees and clients.

  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, management, and client groups to take desired action.

  • Fluency in English and local language

  • Must be able to act as clients representative in sensitive discussions with local authorities
