Our client is in the medical industry and provides services to indigenous and international companies in the West African sub region . It is seeking to provide unique opportunities to logistics management professionals who are resourceful, have a very professional approach to work and have relevant experience managing the total process to join its dedicated team as Logistics Manager

The successful candidate would be responsible for:
- Developing, maintaining and standardising systems and procedures;
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships;
- Providing commercial support and participating in tender proceedings
- Managing and developing the logistics team;

- Issuing reports on supply chain performance;
- Ensuring compliance with import and export regulations;
- Ensuring effective inventory control at the warehouse;
- Ensuring strict compliance with financial and procurement standards;
- Providing inputs into projects and initiatives;
- Participating in annual budget preparations;
- Participating in management meetings;
- Negotiating pricing and service level agreements;
- Providing leadership to the supply chain team.
The successful candidate must:
- Have 4-8 years work experience within a supply chain function, 2 years of which should be in a management or supervisory position;
- Have relevant supply chain and freight forwarding experience;
- Have at least a bachelor's degree in purchasing and supply or related field;
- Be computer literate and have administrative skills. A professional qualification is an added advantage;
- Be independent minded and have good people skills;
- Must be able to speak and write English and French very well.
