A reputable state-owned Enterprise is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for appointment to fill the position of: Senior Legal Officer
Job Functions
• Coordinates all legal actions for and on behalf of the company
• Assists in the assessment of any claims brought before the company for settlement
• Drafts and reviews all legal agreements for the company
• Handles all litigation cases brought before the company
• Assists divisions, departments and regional offices in dealing with issues of dispute that arise in the normal performance of their duties
• Prepares the relevant legal documents on behalf of the company in respect of housing projects to be constructed for individuals or institutions
• Assists and advises in negotiations for contracts to be undertaken by the company
• Represents the company in court in lawsuits by or against the company
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
• Must be ready to travel at short notice
Qualification Required & Experience
• LLB, BL plus a minimum of 10 years experience at the Bar for the Senior Legal Officer
