--> PEG delivers Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) asset-based financing to consumers who lack both access to reliable electricity and formal banking services. PEG’s anchor product – a basic solar home system that includes six lights, a phone charger, a radio, and a TV – allows consumers living on $5-10 per day to access clean light for working and studying after hours, avoid harmful air pollution from kerosene based lighting solutions, and also build credit for additional products and services over time.
To date, PEG has raised over $45 million and has over 450 full time staff across Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal. PEG has also won numerous awards, including the prestigious 2017 Ashden International Award for excellence in sustainable energy, and was named as one of the “fastest growing companies in Africa” by the London Stock Exchange.
The Position
The Sales Manager, PEG Water is responsible for the sale of PEG solutions in a defined sales vertical and territory. This position sells PEG solutions and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and development of new products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, pre-qualify, and acquire B2B prospects for the sale of PEG solar pump
Formulate successful strategies to increase B2B sales and ensure annual goals are attained;
Successfully develop, organize, strategically position, prepare and issue winning proposals and presentations;
Assist with the development of sales plans to maximize existing relationships and identify new opportunities in direct sales and reseller markets
Assume overall responsibility for the development of preliminary and final proposals and comprehensive understanding of contract terms;

Build up a strong, high-prospect B2B sales pipeline
Function as the primary customer experience contact for B2B customers and lead all pitches
Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and activity reports and maintain lead tracking and customer issue tracking system
Work with all relevant functional groups including but not limited to, Sales and senior management, to build strategic relationships and alliances with local communities and local organizations to drive indirect sales to various group members
The successful candidate must have (or be able to):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Water or any related field from a recognized University.
Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience in the water pump industry with proven performance record
Possession of an additional Business related qualification will be an added advantage.
Technical competence in pump system design and operating principles especially solar pumps.
Result oriented and goal focused individual
High energy and a sense of urgency in pursuit of targets and rigorous deadlines
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong networking and stakeholder management skills, especially at a high influencer level
Remarkable critical thinking and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
