MegaWatt Project Solutions LTD is a niche recruitment company that is currently assisting a multinational specialising in the development, financing, management and operation of private infrastructure projects in Africa with a considerable track record in the renewable energy sector. With offices in London and various Sub-Saharan African locations, they specialise in developing innovative solutions for challenging markets, seeking innovative financing solutions.
Working closely with project development teams, you will be involved in the negotiation and drafting of a wide range of agreements, ranging from typical initial documentation (MOUs and consulting agreements) through to detailed joint development, shareholder and investment agreements and complex project agreements (PPAs, EPC contracts etc) on investments approaching 100 million+ US$.
Ideally African based role but open to a significantly experienced London based professional open to regular travel
- Legal qualification with post graduate experience exceeding associate level.
- Experience in the areas of international project development and project finance, whether at an investor, developer or development focussed legal advisory firm
- Exposure to Sub-Saharan African development markets and their nuances
- Familiarity with the power sector and knowledge of how to structure a project-financed infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
- Fluency in both English and French to a professional level.
- Must hold a current practising certificate
